For many of us, Easter represents new life and hope. This is certainly true. And yet, the past year has brought much grief and loss for us as well. Not only has the pandemic taken hundreds of thousands of lives, it has also altered the way we grieve when we lose someone for any reason. Sorrow is just as much a part of the Easter story as joy is. Jesus suffered and died as part of God’s plan for redemption.

Good Friday is a time that we can acknowledge Christ’s death and also acknowledge our own grief. And so we are hosting a special service on April 2, 2021 called Good Friday: A Time to Remember where we will spend some time remembering those we have lost over the last year.
