How a Tractor Built a Church

StoneBridge has partnered with Mid India since 2016. As part of the Unfinished Campaign, one of the initiatives was to build 10 churches in dangerous areas. We sent groups from StoneBridge to India over the years to build relationships and carry out the mission of Sharing Christ and Building Believers all over the world. On the most recent mission trip, Mid India bought a tractor for a village and the team had an opportunity to visit. They prayed over the village and a blessing over the tractor.

How a tractor built a church.
This particular village is filled with farmers; they grow corn, vegetables and some peanuts. Due to lack of resources, The people have to plow their land using time-consuming, old techniques, as they cannot afford a tractor.

This means that they can only farm a fraction of what could be farmed with equipment.
When we learned of this problem, we set out to try something new. We bought a tractor and loaned it to the village, so each villager could increase their farming by at least three times, and allow for them to potentially sell three times more in the market.

It worked! And guess what was the FIRST thing they wanted to put that money towards? A church building! Due to the proceeds of the increased harvest, the community had enough money to build a brand new church building.Even though we are in the midst of uncharted times, underneath it all, God continues to work.
