Rooted FAQ

What is Rooted? . . .

Rooted is a 10-week discipleship program plus a Celebration and a catalyst for life-change. It stimulates questions, conversations, and group experiences designed to give you a glimpse of your story in God’s story.

How do I register and how much does it cost? . . .

Registration is easy! Click on the registration form for your campus and follow the steps. The cost is $35 per person to go through the course, which includes all sessions, your workbook and other supplies/food. This breaks down to $3.50 a week! We understand that emergencies come up, and you may need to cancel your Rooted registration. You can cancel your registration and receive a full refund up until the day before kickoff. No refunds will be given after this date.

Is there childcare available? . . .

Childcare registration is available for $5/week per child (10 sessions + 1 prayer experience) equaling $55 per child. We ask you pay for half of the cost when you register then we will charge your card for the remaining half 5 weeks into Rooted. You will see a question on the registration form about childcare. Childcare will be limited to certain days at the Omaha campus. After registering, we will let you know as we do our best to group families with children on the same days.

Where will my Rooted group meet? . . .

Rooted is offered across all five campuses and groups will meet at their specific campus or via Zoom for the Online Campus.

When will my Rooted group meet? . . .

You can preview the schedules and dates on the Registration and Schedule page.

  • 1st week and 8th week meetings may be different than your normal meeting day.
  • The Celebration will be held after the 10 Rooted meetings (see schedules for dates and times).

What if I cannot make all 10 weeks plus the Celebration? . . .

We understand that Rooted is a large time commitment, but we believe it is worth it to invest in the entire process. If you know you are going to miss more than 2 meetings, we ask that you wait until the next session of Rooted. The 10 weeks are a cumulative experience, and so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other with being at every meeting. We understand that emergencies come up, and you may need to cancel your Rooted registration. You can cancel your registration and receive a full refund up until the day before kickoff. No refunds will be given after this date.

How will my Rooted group be chosen? . . .

Our Rooted team will prayerfully place participants into groups of about 10-14 people. We group by campus. These groups ultimately depend upon the demographic of those who registered. A substantial amount of prayer and thoughtfulness goes into creating groups which we think will provide the best experience for all people who attend. While we do our best to honor requests when possible, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all friend or leader requests.

What is the difference between Rooted and Life Groups? . . .

Rooted is the on-ramp to Life Groups. Your Rooted group at the end of the 10 weeks becomes your Small Group, and so we strongly advise that you go through Rooted before joining an open Life Group.

What if I can’t afford the registration fee? . . .

We believe that Rooted is a life-changing experience and we want everyone to participate! We understand that the Rooted registration fee may be a burden for some and we are happy to support you if that is your current situation. Please contact your Campus Pastor for more information on how we may be able to assist you.

Can I facilitate a Rooted group? . . .

Rooted Facilitators get a front-row seat to something remarkable – God transforming lives. Rooted leaders must have graduated from Rooted, completed an application for leadership, and have participated in the training offered.
